The “afite HAKODATE” Stella Maris Church was built in 2004 in the bay-side area of red brick buildings, a symbol of Hakodate. The chapel features a classic red-brick exterior with a large carillon bell tower and a 20-meter stone stairway. Inside the chapel, a 10-meter aisle leads to the altar with a beautiful view of Hakodate’s cityscape and port. Evening wedding ceremonies with candle lights are also available. A cozy restaurant next to the chapel is an ideal place to have a reception.
